Did You Know????

I.  Winter is the best time to prune. It may be cold outside but if you can brave the weather pruning now can add structure and beauty to your garden.

II.  Lettuce started now can provide tasty greens through spring. Try a heat mat to raise soil temperatures for successful seed germination.
III. Garlic will produce the biggest heads if planted in the fall. Adding compost and aged manure will also help.

IV. Bees are the most important pollinating insect. They harvest pollen for protein and to feed their larvae.  Most importantly as they collect pollen they drop it onto the pistil of the flower which results in cross pollination. Thank You Bees !!!!
